SJS Investment Services is proud to share that Andrew Schaetzke, Managing Director of Strategy and Senior Advisor, has been named to InvestmentNews’ 2026 Rising Stars list.[1][2]
For Andrew, a career in financial advice has always been about more than investments. Growing up with limited financial resources, he saw firsthand how financial challenges can affect a family and shape its future. That experience helped inspire his career and continues to influence the way he works with clients today.
“I grew up in a blue-collar household without much financial stability. That gave me an early appreciation for the difference that financial guidance and opportunity can make for a family,” Andrew says.
“I’m grateful for the people who helped me along the way. I hope my story encourages others who may be starting with limited resources to see possibilities for their own future. That’s part of what motivates me to help people better understand their finances, make informed decisions, and gain greater peace of mind.”
SJS Cares and Our Values
At SJS, we believe great financial advice starts with understanding people - their experiences, their priorities, and what matters most to them. Andrew brings that perspective to his work as both a Senior Advisor and a member of the firm’s leadership team.
In addition to serving individuals, families, and organizations on investment management and financial planning, Andrew helps guide SJS’s strategic direction, advisor development, and long-term growth. He has played an important role in advancing the firm’s technology, mentoring colleagues, and serving on our investment committee to further develop and progress our MarketPlus® Investing philosophy.
His commitment to leadership extends beyond SJS through board service, educational initiatives, and community involvement in the Toledo area. In 2024, he was recognized with the St. John’s Jesuit Young Alumnus of the Year Award.
When asked what matters most in becoming a leader in wealth management, Andrew points to humility and servant leadership - the belief that leadership means putting others first and helping those around you grow.
That philosophy reflects what we value at SJS: building meaningful relationships, helping people navigate important financial decisions, and continually finding ways to serve our communities better through SJS Cares.
We are grateful to Andrew for the leadership, perspective, and genuine care he brings to SJS.
