Job Description
As a Senior Advisor, you will play a key role in helping clients achieve their financial goals through customized investment strategies and holistic financial planning. Drawing on your industry expertise and deep market knowledge, you’ll manage client relationships, develop financial plans, and guide portfolio strategy. This role also involves mentoring junior advisors, supporting business development, and contributing to the overall success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary advisor for a portfolio of clients, delivering personalized advice and service.
Build strong relationships with current and prospective clients, focusing on long-term trust and performance.
Lead financial planning efforts, including investment analysis, cash flow forecasting, tax planning, and implementation of strategic recommendations.
Collaborate with colleagues across advisory, investment, and operational teams to deliver cohesive client solutions.
Monitor client portfolios and proactively communicate changes, performance updates, and tailored recommendations.
Drive new business through networking, referrals, and participate in firm-sponsored business development initiatives.
Stay informed on market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory updates to provide clients with timely and relevant guidance.
Mentor and coach junior advisors, supporting their development and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
Represent SJS within the community by engaging in networking events, nonprofit boards, and service initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial advisory or investment management.
CFP® and/or CFA designation preferred.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and approach challenges with analytical thinking.
Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with financial planning and CRM software is a plus.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

We are seeking an Associate Advisor to join our dynamic wealth management team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about financial planning, investments, and building long-term client relationships. As an Associate Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the advisory team and assisting in the delivery of financial advice to clients. You will gain valuable experience while working closely with seasoned professionals in a collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities
Assist senior advisors in preparing for client meetings by gathering necessary financial data, creating reports, and assisting with follow-up communications.
Support advisors with investment research, portfolio analysis, and the development of retirement plans, cash flow projections, and other financial strategies.
Help create presentations and materials for client meetings and ensure that all necessary documentation is prepared and organized.
Work closely with other team members, including advisors, investment strategists, and client service representatives, to provide seamless support and build client relationships.
Assist in tracking client portfolios, preparing performance reports, and communicating updates and recommendations to clients as needed.
Required Experience/Skills
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
At least 1+ years of related industry experience is preferred, though we will consider candidates with strong analytical skills and relevant backgrounds.
Strong interest in pursuing a career in financial planning and wealth management, with a willingness to continuously develop knowledge of financial products, investments, and strategies.
Ability to work with numbers, perform basic financial analysis, and understand financial statements.
Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients and team members professionally and effectively.
Comfortable using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with financial software or client management tools is a plus.
