What Working at SJS Looks Like
The professionals who thrive at SJS share a simple motivation: they want to help others make confident decisions about their money, and they want to do it at a firm that genuinely puts the client first. That's the firm we've spent three decades building.
We've been independently owned since 1995. No commissions, no sales quotas, no product of the month. Our work is focused on financial planning: developing relationships with individuals, families, and business owners across our three markets, helping them think clearly about retirement, taxes, and what they want their money to do. It's the kind of advice you'd be comfortable giving to friends and family.
What truly sets SJS apart is our culture: we’re grounded in small-town values, driven by a spirit of service, and committed to giving back. And we don’t just say we put people first; we uphold this core belief in everything we do.
If you enjoy helping others and collaborating with a great team, we encourage you to apply to one of our open positions. Contact our HR Director, Tiffany Wilson – twilson@sjsinvest.com

You'll work shoulder to shoulder with CFP® advisors, financial planning associates, and a back-office team that keeps everything moving. Plans are built together here, not handed down, so you learn from the people around you every day.
-
Our work starts and ends with understanding the client: their goals, their family, their full financial picture. There's nothing to sell, which means your job is simply to help people make decisions they feel good about.
-
We focus on professional growth opportunities for our advisors. We support team members pursuing their CFP® licensure and create clear paths for those who want to advance. For some, that means deepening their craft, and for others, it means working toward an advisory role of their own.

Giving back is part of who we are, woven through the whole year rather than saved for a single event. Our teams show up for their communities in tangible ways, from helping build a neighborhood playground to sponsoring a service dog through The Ability Center. And through our employee-directed donation program, every person here has a say in the causes the firm supports. Learn more about SJS Cares →
