SJS Welcomes Perrysburg Executive Assistant Marcus Doore

We’re excited to introduce our new Executive Assistant in our Perrysburg office, Marcus Doore, who will play an important role in supporting our team and enhancing the experience we provide to our clients.

A native to northwest Ohio, Marcus graduated from Perrysburg High School, where he played football and competed on the speech and debate team. He received the mathematics award for his graduating class.

Before joining SJS in March of 2026, Marcus worked for Benchmark Restaurant Group in Levis Commons. He began his career there in 2022 as a busser, then bar assistant, eventually working his way up to server on the floor. In 2024, Marcus passed the Level 1 wine sommelier exam through the CMS-A in Pasadena, CA. He then led the team as staff educator, held private wine tastings, and wrote the wine lists for their restaurants.

One of Marcus’s particular passions is learning complex subjects well enough to explain them simply and to make them accessible to anyone. He believes teaching is the highest form of learning.

One of five children, Marcus enjoys nothing more than spending time with his family. He likes hiking, running, and lifting. In his free time, he enjoys studying philosophy and Christian apologetics, exploring math, and playing the board game Catan with friends. His favorite wine grape is Syrah.
